What better way than to celebrate the holidays with a cocktail made with some of our favourite festive flavours – mint, lemon & figs. Cheers!
2 fresh figs, chopped
4-6 fresh mint (plus more for garnish)
1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
1 1/2 oz bourbon
1/2 oz agave nectar
club soda (optional)
Muddle fig, mint leaves, and lemon juice against sides of a cocktail shaker – with a muddler or the back of a wooden spoon – until fig is broken down. Add bourbon, agave and enough ice to fill shaker half-way. Shake vigorously until thoroughly chilled (about 30 seconds). Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. If desired, top with club soda to lighten up the drink.
Place a mint leaf in the palm of one hand and smack it with the other hand to release the oils. Rub the mint leaf on the rim of the glass and then add it to the glass. Garnish with additional mint leaves.
